What is Parkinson’s disease?

Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by a lack of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain. Some of the most common Parkinson’s symptoms include tremors, slow movements, stiffness, and a lack of balance. Around 500,000 Americans are currently living with Parkinson’s disease, making it the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disorder in the United States.

Our Mission

Teens Combating Parkinson’s is a youth-led organization dedicated to raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease and thereby improving the lives of Parkinson’s patients. We aim to develop initiatives that provide support, encouragement, and inspiration for individuals suffering from Parkinson’s disease. We hope that by empowering teenagers to become Parkinson’s advocates, we can contribute to an increase in understanding and support for Parkinson’s disease. Please join us in our fight against Parkinson’s!
